Integrity Action is delighted to announce that our Chief Operating Officer, Joy Saunders won the Director of the Year for Public and Third sector in London and South East 2014. Joy received the award at a gala dinner and award ceremony held at the Institute of Directors in London last night, 11th June 2014.
Introducing the winners, John Minards, South East regional leader for PWC, said “Tonight we are here to celebrate some of the finest directors in our region who, in spite of a challenging backdrop, have demonstrated exceptional leadership, and “best in class” performance.”
After having worked for numerous years in the corporate sector, Joy Saunders moved into the not for profit world where she leads on strategy and operations for Integrity Action since 2011. She said “I am thrilled to win the London and South East Institute of Director Award. It is an honour to have my work recognised by such a prestigious organisation. Integrity Action has now improved the lives of over 4 million people in developing countries – a metric we are very proud of. The win is also a great boost for the fabulous team at Integrity Action who have worked so hard these last few years to improve the lives of communities in the developing world.”
Having won the award for London and the South East Joy now goes forward to the Director of the Year Award UK final 2014. The UK final will take place on the 24th October 2014 in London.
